To Help As You Plan Your Trip to Visit Us

We love the mild winters and cool summers of the Pacific Northwest!  Although we do get a lot of rain, it rarely slows us down, and it is important because it keeps our trees, flowers and shrubs in fine form.  Our sunny days and clear, starry nights are hard to beat and push the dreary days into distant memory.  You can check out our  weather before you leave, but the best advice for "what to pack" is to layer:  it will be cool and warm and everything in between for at least some of your visit with us!

We are a collection of communities just like every other spot, so you might want to consult our visitors guide before you leave.

We live on an island, and many of the places we want to go are also islands, so  ferries are a big part of our lives.  The new  ferry cam can give you a look at what we see when we want to "get off the rock".
